About Casa Mama Mia

Your peaceful retreat in the heart of the Algarve

Nestled just outside the charming village of Moncarapacho, our boutique bed & breakfast was created as a sanctuary for those seeking rest, balance, and renewal. The pace here is gentle — mornings awaken to birdsong and golden light over the olive trees, and evenings fade into a chorus of cicadas beneath the stars.

Welcome to Casa Mama Mia

Casa Mama Mia was purchased in 2025 with a clear purpose: to create a warm, restorative retreat for the respite guests of Caring4ourCarers — people who give so much of themselves and deserve a genuine place to rest.

We're proud to say that's exactly what we've built. Nestled in the Portuguese countryside near Moncarapacho, Casa Mama Mia offers the peace and quiet our guests need, without being too far from the everyday conveniences that make a stay comfortable.

We now also welcome guests as a small, boutique B&B, and whether you're here through Caring4ourCarers or simply looking for somewhere special to stay, you can expect the same warmth and attention we bring to everything we do.

Our boutique bed and breakfast can accommodate up to 12 guests across six fully equipped double rooms in the main house. Each room with a private bathroom (shower and toilet), air conditioning/heating, and a private terrace.

We also have The Summerhouse, a luxury 2-bedroom holiday home with a shared bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, and dining and seating areas. Step outside onto the terrace and take in the views, or cool off in the newly installed plunge pool.

The naturally landscaped garden offers a peaceful setting with an salt water swimming pool (12.5 × 4 m) and a separate whirlpool for children (1.5 × 4 m).

Each morning, a fresh local breakfast is served at the large communal table or outside on one of the terraces.

The Main House offers six inviting rooms, each with its own character and peaceful outdoor space. With ensuite bathrooms and beds that can be arranged as doubles or twins, these rooms are designed to give you flexibility, privacy, and a welcoming place to return to after exploring the Algarve.
